Day One
Wow... We are never coming back. Just finished our Prime Rib Dinner and Desert and Desert and Desert again. I am so full that if i fell overboard people would think i was Shamu.
To recap the days events i'll start with the 90mph chase of Karen down I10. You see we had to take the truck since we had so much luggage that either people were staying behind or luggage. Well the solution was take two vehicles. It started with rain from San Antonio to Houston non stop. We did stop for lunch at Heinz BBQ and it was delightful. Once we finished and got back on track for some reason Karen passed me in the van. She she was driving Dad's Van with the women and Dad and I were in the truck leading the way. Next thing we know Karen was in front, which is no problem except we had the directions. As she was pulling away one car length, two, three, four and so forth I decided i better pick up the pace or she will lose me. So I picked up the pace 75...80...85.. and not even gaining on her. Finally at 90mph we caught her and passed her again and took the lead. So why was she ahead you ask??? Well the ladies were gabbing and Karen passed us without even realizing she passed us, then paniced because she though we were ahead of her except we were behind her. We made it though.
Next we checked in. The lines were long and tiring for some. Since Karen mother was not a US citizen she was moved to the front and processed within five minutes of arriving. Next mother left her birth certificate and dad's in there luggage, which was already checked. So the stewart walked them back to get it... and guess what moved them to the front of the line and processed them with fifteen minutes of arrival. Now Karen and myself had to go though that damn line for 90 minutes all the while the lady in front of us told us her life story.
By the time Karen and I boarded the ship we missed the fire drill and all the safety briefings. We all meet for dinner and were going to show but mother started to get sea sick and karen mother was tired, so the old people went to bed. Karen and I went to a comedy show and then went gambling. It took me all of three minutes to lose $10.
